Chaos Space Marine Mutilators are specialized close-combat Chaos Marines who have succumbed so fully to the Obliterator Virus that their bodies have fused with their weaponry, allowing them to sprout a terrifying array of flesh-metal blades, maces, and axes directly from their limbs. Unlike their ranged counterparts, the Obliterators, Mutilators are driven by a singular, obsessive hunger for melee carnage, stalking the battlefield as hulking masses of mutated muscle and jagged steel. They possess the supernatural ability to morph their appendages into the specific weapon best suited for dismembering their current target, shifting from power mauls to lightning claws in a pulse of gore. Though formidable in previous eras of the Long War, they represent the absolute zenith of the Blade-slave mutation, sacrificing their humanity and sanity to become living engines of visceral, short-range destruction.
