As a senior officer of the Skitarii Conclaves during the Horus Heresy, the Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshal serves as a veteran commander elevated from the most proficient Ordinator squad leaders to oversee the Mechanicum’s elite relic-hunting expeditions. These masters of the "Flesh-shriving" lead cohorts of Battle-Pilgryms across the galaxy in an unceasing search for lost technology, wielding the absolute authority of the Fabricator General. In battle, they are resilient and agile leaders equipped with sophisticated wargear—such as voltlock handguns, archeotech pistols, and symbolic auctorit sceptres or phase claws—that allow them to direct their cybernetic troops with mathematical precision. Perhaps their most formidable trait is the "Marshal Elect" protocol, a mind-impulse link reaction that allows a nearby Ordinator to immediately assume the Marshal's command and combat sub-routines should the original leader fall, ensuring the relentless pilgrimage of the Omnissiah never falters.
