Legion Astartes MKIII Breaker Squads are specialized frontline shock troops designed for high-fatality, close-quarters boarding actions and fortified assaults. Encased in heavy, reinforced MKIII "Iron" power armor—which sacrifices mobility for maximum frontal plating—these Space Marines form an impenetrable wall using massive, heavy-duty boarding shields capable of deflecting intense enemy fire and plasma blasts. Typically armed with a bolter, lascutter, or gravity gun in one hand and their signature shield in the other, they are the hammer used to smash through bulkhead doors, bunker lines, and claustrophobic starship corridors, absorbing tremendous punishment so that following forces can exploit the breach.
