An Adeptus Mechanicus Hastarii Squad functions as the specialized fire-support backbone of a Skitarii maniples, trading the mobility of standard infantry for suppression. These cybernetic soldiers are typically equipped as one of two squad types . Hastarii Exterminators with close-range eradication casters, or Hastarii Fusiliers with pinpoint-accurate neutron fusils. Guided by the calculated logic of their Tech-Priest overseers, the squad operates with cold, machine-like precision, utilizing advanced pather-slaved targeting telemetry to identify and eliminate high-priority armored threats or fortified positions from across the battlefield. Their presence ensures that any advance against the Omnissiah’s forces is met with a relentless, mathematically optimized destruction.
